That property, Bigelow Gardens consists of 70 one-bedroom apartments located at 449 Main Street in Lancaster and is managed by both Lancaster Housing Authority staff and Housing Authority Board Members. All apartments under our management are ground floor.
Lancaster Housing Authority founded in 1961 follows all guidelines regarding Chapter 667 public housing. In short, the head of household must be at least 60 years of age or have some type of disability to be eligible for housing.
When you contact the Lancaster Housing Authority, we’ll discuss your options and inform you of all the requirements necessary to obtain public housing. Those include family status and household size, income requirements and immigration status.
